Our Story
Fair Hill Community Physicians…Our name steeped in North Philadelphia history, our care dedicated to equity and quality.
Fair Hill Community Physicians brings together a group of primary care physicians, clinical providers and staff with deep roots in North Philadelphia and a passionate commitment to providing the best quality care in our community.
Ours is a community with a rich tradition of social justice and equality. In the historic Fair Hill burial ground, for example, you’ll find Harriet Purvis, founder of the Female Anti-Slavery Society, and Lucretia Mott who—together with other Quakers—led the Abolition movement.
Others buried in Fair Hill include Anna T. Jeanes, founder of Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia. Through the use of her family fortune, she eased the burdens of life experienced by immigrants and individuals who were too often marginalized in the community. You’ll also find Anne Preston, a physician-educator who served as the first female dean of a medical school, at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.
We take inspiration from our community heritage as we sustain our commitment to equity and the delivery of high quality, community-focused medical care.
Today, we draw inspiration to continue this movement for our patients in how we care for our communities.
